Planning Transportation for Weddings and Events

Event transportation usually means choosing between a limo service's fleet or juggling multiple rideshares. Adriver offers a third option: a vetted driver operates each guest's own car, so everyone arrives in a vehicle they already know.

Start with a headcount and a timeline, not a vehicle count. Before booking anything, map out who needs to be where and when — ceremony, reception, after-party — so you're not solving transportation gaps the week of the event.

Consider who's driving home. Weddings and galas usually involve alcohol, which means even guests who drove themselves need a plan to get home safely. Arranging drivers in advance for key guests (wedding party, out-of-town family, the couple) avoids a scramble at the end of the night.

Fleet vehicles aren't always the answer. A limo or party bus works for a single group moving together, but it doesn't help guests who drove their own cars and need to get home in them. A driver who operates each guest's personal vehicle solves that without adding a second vehicle to the mix.

Book earlier than you think you need to. Event season (spring and early summer for weddings, December for corporate events) means higher demand for any transportation service — book as soon as your date and timeline are set.

Have a point of contact for the day. Whoever is coordinating transportation should have direct contact information for the service, not just a confirmation email, in case timing shifts on the day of the event.
